Esports roundup: Three team go unbeaten in second week of play
MIDWAY, Ky. - Three of Midway's Esports teams had unbeaten weeks, each victor winning without dropping a round of competition.
League of Legends and Call of Duty both improved to 2-0 on the young season with a pair of shutouts.
LOL earned a second-straight 2-0 win, this one over St. Lawrence (N.Y.) Tuesday. COD, which won its opener via forfeit last week, got its first head-to-head win Thursday with a 3-0 triumph over the University of Texas Permian Basin.
Also competing on Thursday, Rocket League put together a 2-0 record via 3-0 wins against Wartburg (Iowa) and Arkansas State Mountain Home.
Elsewhere, the Overwatch team is still looking for its first win after sustaining a 3-0 defeat to St. Ambrose (Iowa) Friday night.
