Brown hits best mark of season in lead up to nationals
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Looking to stay fresh as she shoots for another All-American finish, Nevaeh Brown had her best performance of the 2024 outdoor season on Wednesday.
The senior pole vault standout finished with a season-high mark of 3.75 meters at the Marian (Ind.) University Last Chance. Brown was the only member of the Midway women's track and field team to take part in the meet.
Brown, who already hit the national qualifying 'A' standard of 3.65 meters on two separate occasions, finished second Wednesday, behind only the 4.27 finish of Sabrina Robison, an NCAA Division-II pole vaulter from the University of Indianapolis.
She will return to the Hoosier state in just over two weeks, where she will once again take part in the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion.
Brown is already a three-time outdoor All-American in pole vault and was national runner-up at the Indoor Championships in March.
