Midway University announces 396 student-athletes named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll
MIDWAY, Ky. -- With the spring semester officially in the books, the Midway University Athletic Department is happy to announce that 395 student-athletes have been named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the spring 2023 semester.
To be named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale during the semester.
Of the 396 student-athletes that were named to the honor roll, 213 were named to the Dean's List – which requires a 3.60 GPA – while 121 Eagles achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA.
As a department, Midway recorded a 3.21 GPA for the spring semester, while 23 of the 28 teams achieved a team GPA above a 3.0.
The women's swimming team posted the highest team GPA with a 3.73, while the men's swimming and dance teams followed with a 3.71 and a 3.64, respectively. Women's golf posted a 3.58, while women's soccer rounded out the top five with a 3.57.
The Midway baseball team had the highest number of student-athletes named to the AD Honor Roll with 53, while women's soccer had 35 named to the list. Men's soccer placed 26 on the list and equestrian hunt seat had 24, while wrestling and men's basketball each had 23 honorees.
