Western team continues excellent season by capturing three regional championships

OXFORD, Ohio - Fresh off a Zone 6, Region 3 championship, the Midway western team lived up to its reputation Sunday, as three riders took first place at the Western Regional Championships.

Leading the way as she as much of the year was Jordan Schauer, the champion in Open Horsemanship. Schauer also earned Reserve Champion honors in Open Reining.

Joining her atop the standings were Chase Summerville and Sadie Tullock. Summerville was first in Level-Two Horsemanship, with Tullock winning Level-One.

Midway dominated Level-One competition, as Riley Long was its Reserve Champion.

The Eagles also got a third-place finish from Kaitlyn Burns in Rookie Horsemanship.

Next up for Midway will be the IHSA Western Semifinals in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on March 23-24.
