Hunt Seat closes Miami (Ohio) Shows on high note
OXFORD, Ohio -- After getting off to a tough start on day one of the Miami University (Ohio) Shows, the Midway equestrian hunt seat team closed the weekend on a high note and tied for High Point Team honors following day two.
Elisma Stolz took first in limit flat on Saturday to account for Midway's lone first-place finish, but as a team, the Eagles bounced back on Sunday and brought home three first-place finishes.
In Sunday's show, Kayden Gundry took first in open fences, and Riley Whelan did so in limit flat, while Kelly Lewis took the top spot on the podium in novice flat.
The weekend also saw three riders qualify for the regional championship show. Sydney Wright and Lewis each did so in novice flat, while Stolz did so in limit flat.
The Eagles are now off for the rest of the semester as they'll return to action on February 10-11 when they travel to Morehead, Ky. for the Morehead State Shows.
