Bastin, Vincent earn All-RSC designation
MIDWAY, Ky. - Three members of the Midway men's soccer team were recognized as all-conference players by the River States Conference on Tuesday.
Jared Bastin was a second-team selection as a midfielder, while Connor Vincent made the third-team as a goalie.
Bastin was a steading force in the midfield all season, playing a key role on the defense while also contributing the game-winning goal in an Oct. 9 victory over Trevecca (Tenn.).
This is the second all-conference selection for Bastin, who made the third-team a season ago.
Vincent made the third-team after finishing the regular season first in the RSC and fourth in the NAIA with 102 saves. This is the first all-conference nod for Vincent, who was also fifth in the league with a .708 save percentage.
The Eagles now head into the River States Conference Tournament as the No. 6 seed. They will be on the road to face No. 3-seed West Virginia Tech, the defending league champion, in the opening round at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
