Olivero wins twice more, women's tennis loses to ranked Campbellsville

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Agustina Olivero had another stellar day, but 25th-ranked Campbellsville overcame losing the doubles point to top Midway 5-2 in women's tennis on Wednesday.

Fresh off of winning River States Conferene Player of the Week for the second week in a row, Olivero got a win at both No. 1 singles and doubles. She and Mara Guillen defeated Miru Nonaka and Miho Akita 6-4 in doubles. She then earned a 6-3, 6-4 win over Ariadna Perez in singles.

The Eagles secured the double's point thanks to a 7-6 win by Grace Froedge and Jasmin McClenahan at No. 3. 

At No. 2 singles, Guillen went the distance agaisnt Angela Mendoza, but ultimatley lost 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.

The Eagles, who fall to 3-6 after a third loss to a ranked opponent, will now turn their attention to the River States Conference portion of their schedule, as they travel to face Indiana Southeast at 2 p.m. Friday.
