Eagles to open fall tennis season Sept. 26

MIDWAY, Ky. - Prior to the start of the spring season, the Midway men's and women's tennis teams will warm up with a busy fall of competition.

Members of the Eagle men's and women's team will begin the year competing in the four-day Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regionals, which will be played at nearby Georgetown College on Sept. 26-29.

Both teams will then travel out of state for two matches in October, going to Cedarville (Ohio) on Oct. 5 and Johnson (Tenn.) Oct. 22.

The Midway women are also slated to host a match on Oct. 10 against Hanover (Ind.).

The Eagles look to continue their upward trajectory from the previous two seasons, in which both the men and women finished as the runners-up in the River States Conference.

Midway will also bring back its first ever All-American, as incoming junior Agustina Olivero was a Second-Team selection on the women's side a season ago.
